Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Manage My Domains?
I Need Support For My Email Accounts
If your email hosting has been purchased by QuikSite, you can get 24/7 support directly from GoDaddy’s technical assistance department by calling 480-624-2500. You will need your account login and PIN handy. If you have forgotten that information, please email us for assistance with that information.
How Do I View My Google Analytics Information?
Here is the Google Analytics website. You will need to enable access through a Google Account sign-in. Typically this is any GMail address that you use. If you don’t have a GMail account, set one up here (it’s free). Once you have your GMail account, send that information to QuikSite with a request to access your website’s Google Analytics account. You will receive notification from Google once this has been done.
How Do I Make Changes To My Website Theme?
Generally you can make changes or adjustments to your website’s theme. To avoid problems and make things simpler for you, QuikSite “locks down” some design editing features. These can be enabled if needed. Please contact QuikSite to discuss your particular situation.
If you site was built before 2015, chances are the theme is not as flexible or easy to use, and QuikSite will need to make those adjustments for you by editing the HTML and CSS code.
How Do I Install Plugins To My Site?
To maintain a high level of security and performance, QuikSite reviews and tests the plugins that are installed on our web servers. There are over 30,000 plugins, but many are outdated, no longer supported, and create security problems. There can also be conflicts between plugins so that features stop working or the site can become inoperable.
If you need specific functionality, please contact QuikSite to discuss so that we can select the best option that is supported.
Can I Use Flash On My Website?
QuikSite does not officially support Flash any more and strongly discourages using it.
The reason for this is that Apple’s iPad and iPhone will not play Flash at all. There are also security concerns.
As there are many options for displaying content interactively with the advent of HTML5, QuikSite recommends sticking with this approach. If you have any questions about this, please contact QuikSite to discuss further.
